Now the question is What else might you need for your online store? What other add-ons will make your life easier and bring you more sales?

The possibilities are almost endless, but based on our experience creating, developing and managing online stores, we’ve seen some extensions that, while not strictly necessary, end up being extremely useful.

Add-ons for an Online Store

  • Custom video tutorial. A video of approximately 40 minutes where we explain how to manage your store. This will be a personalized tutorial created specifically for you, teaching you exactly what you need to know to manage the online store we’ve developed on your website. After watching the tutorial, you’ll be fully prepared to upload and configure new products and manage your sales.
  • WooCommerce Analytics. Want to know how many people visit your site, what paths they take, which products they add to the cart, and which ones they ultimately discard? With WooCommerce Analytics you’ll have full control over your audience and their behavior.
  • Abandoned cart recovery. Sends a reminder email to undecided buyers who didn’t complete their purchase.
  • Custom WooCommerce emails + coupons. A great way to retain customers. Allows you to create fully customized emails for both abandoned cart users and customers who have already purchased, enabling you to send promotions, discounts, or product recommendations.
  • Invoice generator. A plugin that generates invoices for your customers, customized with your company’s logo and colors.
  • Advanced shipping fee configuration. Set shipping costs based on package weight, number of products, purchase value, delivery locations (cities or countries), or free shipping according to variable criteria.
  • Virtual product sales. If you want to sell virtual products like an MP3 album or an e-book, we can configure a specific online store for these products. These stores are fully automated: once the customer completes the purchase, they’re taken to a download page.
  • Custom product designer. If you want customers to upload their own designs to products, this plugin is a must. It allows customers to try different design options and see live previews from various angles. They can also create their own designs. View demo
  • Advanced shop sidebar. Create a custom sidebar with advanced filters, image selectors, sliders, currency converters, and more. View demo
  • Bulk stock manager. Very useful if you have many products or frequent sales. You can redefine the stock of all products from a single page.
  • Bulk price manager. Ideal for creating a site-wide or category-specific sale, especially during discount periods.
  • Live chat. Highly valued by users. A live chat to resolve doubts and provide assistance. It builds trust and closeness with customers.
  • WhatsApp chat. Similar to live chat, but with the added advantage that the seller can respond to questions from anywhere using their phone and WhatsApp account.

Connect Physical Store Stock with Online Store Stock

We already discussed this in our article “I Have a Business and Want to Open an Online Store

Among the wide variety of stock management systems (ERPs) available for managing inventory in your store, not all of them have a specific connector to synchronize with WooCommerce. Not all, but many do:

  • Zapier. Integration of OpenERP with WooCommerce (they seem to have a module that syncs with Microsoft Access)
  • WooCommerce POS plugin. It’s recommended to use the PRO version to accept all payment gateways.
  • ModernRetail. Integration package with major ERP and POS systems including CAM Commerce, QuickBooks, RetailPro, CAP Software, and Sage.
  • Plugin by Linksync to integrate WooCommerce with the Vend point of sale software.

On the other hand, it’s hard to find a company that works with WooCommerce and provides an all-in-one service for ERP implementation + WooCommerce connection + full maintenance. It’s even harder to find one that does so at a reasonable price. Although Open ERP offers a technical service that handles implementation (price varies by module) and has a fairly reasonable monthly fee, they don’t manage the web integration.

We deeply researched the market and, after many frustrations and outrageous prices, we found a company in Barcelona: DTI Informática (Note: this is not a paid endorsement), which has developed its own ERP software (https://www.daferp.com/) with specific modules for the textile business (https://www.daferp.com/control-gestion-erp-distribucion-textil/).

This company handles the implementation (syncing your current ERP with their own), the WooCommerce integration, and provides tutoring during the transition. Their pricing is quite reasonable, around €1,500 for implementation (a DAF connected to an online store, including all necessary modules for stock, suppliers, invoicing, etc.), and an affordable monthly maintenance fee of about €50. They’re always available by phone, quick to solve issues, and responsive to questions.

That said, if you want to connect your physical store with your online store, it’s not a problem. We can do it whether you already have your own ERP (although we’d need to migrate all the info to a new ERP) or if you’re starting from scratch—which is ideal, since the implementation process will be much simpler and both physical and online stores will be synchronized from day one.
